How We Work

Our Process

  1. 01

    Assess

We measure the area, review paver styles and borders with you, and check the grading so the finished surface drains correctly.

  2. 02

    Prep & grade

Excavation, geotextile fabric, and a thick compacted stone base, screeded flat and pitched for runoff.

  3. 03

    Install

Pavers set in pattern with tight joints, cut borders and inlays, edge restraint locked in, and polymeric sand swept and set.

  4. 04

    Clean up & walkthrough

Final compaction, a full site cleanup, and a walkthrough covering sealing options and how to handle any future re-leveling.

The JGaskins Difference

Why It Matters

Pavers are the rare surface that's both premium and practical: if a section ever settles or a utility line needs digging, the same pavers lift out and go back in, no patches, no mismatched asphalt scars. Built on our compacted, well-drained base, they're the longest-lasting finish we install.

Good Questions

FAQ

How much do pavers cost?

Every project starts with a free on-site estimate. Pavers cost more than asphalt up front, with pricing driven by area, paver style, and borders or inlays. We'll show you options at different price points.

How long does a paver installation take?

Walkways often take two to three days; driveways and pool decks typically four to six. Base preparation is most of the work, and most of the lifespan.

How long do pavers last, and what maintenance do they need?

Quality concrete pavers are rated for decades and often outlast the homes they're installed at. Maintenance is simple: occasional re-sanding of joints and optional sealing every few years to keep colors rich.

Can you repair or re-level my existing pavers?

Yes. Settled or heaved sections can usually be lifted, the base corrected, and the same pavers re-laid, one of the biggest advantages pavers have over poured surfaces. We also replace broken units and refresh polymeric sand.
